Thermcraft Custom Designed Furnaces

In addition to standard designs, we also manufacture furnaces custom built to exact specifications. Our team of highly knoweledgeable Sales Engineers will work with you through the entire process of configuring your custom furnace.

Custom industrial furnaces can be supplied with material load – unload manipulators or various vibrating or auger type material feed equipment. Designs are available with temperature ranges up to 1700°C (3092°F) in air, or higher temperatures with inert atmospheres. Options include pneumatic openers, view ports, standard controls and PLC controls, just to mention a few. If you can imagine it, Thermcraft can build it

The ovens and furnaces pictured here are examples of our capabilities in designing and building special purpose equipment for a variety of manufacturing requirements. Each system described below has been designed and specifically build to meet the needs our customers requirements.

Service teams are available for on-site service work when needed. Systems are available as a turn-key package with installation and start-up by Thermcraft personnel upon request. Furnace rebuilding is available either at our manufacturing facility or onsite at your facility.

Tube Furnaces
Rotary Tube Furnace

This is a Rotary Tube Furnace with a feed hopper, screw auger to feed the product, and a VOC burn-off system. Designed for operation to 1000°C (1832°F). The furnace has a 6″ ID with a 72″‘ long heated length. The rotary tube can be quartz, ceramic, or a high temperature alloy.


Large Single Zone Tube Furnace

This Large Single Zone Tube Furnace has heated chamber dimensions of 60″ x 60″ x 126 ” long. It has a 150 KW power requirement and reaches temperatures up to 427°C (800°F).


Tilting Split Tube Furnace

This specially designed Tilting Split Tube Furnace is mounted on a base to allow the furnace to be continuously tilted from horizontal to vertical orientation. The temperature controls are integrated into the base to form a compact system that reaches temperatures up to 1200°C (2192°F). The heated chamber is 5″ ID x 25″ long.

Front Loading Box Furnaces
Front Loading Manipulator Box Furnace

This Front Loading Box Furnace has a PLC controlled automatic manipulator to load and  unload product. The furnace operates at temperatures up to 1200°C (2192°F).

Dual Chamber Front Loading Box Furnace

This Dual Chamber Front Loading Box Furnace also has two doors in the rear for unloading.  Designed for heat treating in an oxygen free environment, this furnace has an atmosphere control system with flame curtains low explosion level detection.

Gas Fired Box Furnace

This Gas Fired Box Furnace has a 48″ H x 60″ W x 84″ Deep chamber.  It has 6 direct fired burners that produce a total of 2.4 million BTU’s and up to 1260°C (2300°F) operating temperature.

Rod Overbend Box Furnace

This Box Furnace has a conventional side swing door and slots in the hearth for forklift access.  Using Rod-Overbend style heating elements, the total electrical power of this furnace is 150 kW and can reach 1093°C (2000°F).  The chamber is 72″ x 72″ x 72″.

Vertical Bridgman Crystal Growing Furnace System

This Vertical Bridgman Crystal Growing Furnace System is designed with geared stepper motors for infinite control of furnace rotation and translation. The furnace has three zones and can reach temperatures up to 1200°C (2192°F).  The complete system is controlled through a graphic user interface PLC control.

Car Bottom Furnace
Dual Car Bottom Elevator Hearth Furnace

This Dual Car Bottom Elevator Hearth Furnace is designed for maximum throughput.  Three temperature zones have a combined 180 kW power rating.  The heated chamber is  44″ W x 20″ H x 192″ Long and can reach a maximum temperature of 982°C (1800°F).  Each hearth is capable of supporting a 3000 pound load.

This Bottom Loading Elevator Hearth Furnace has a hydrogen atmosphere system.  Dual crucibles on each side are used to control the cool-down rate of the parts.
