A custom designed Solid Tube Furnace like the one shown here is used for crystal growing. For the lab or for industrial use, this furnace can be easily moved from the vertical to horizontal position. The high operating temperatures of 1300°C, (2372°F) are adequate for many types of crystal growing applications.
