The Horizontal Bridgman Crystal Growing Furnace system shown here has many advantages.
- This furnace offers heavy gauge spiral winding for high temperatures up to 1300 degrees Celsius.
- Furnace chamber inside length, diameter and number of zones can be custom designed to meet the customers requirements.
- Center zone designed in four 90 degree segments for quadrant control of the melt zone. Uses platinum/rhodium resistance windings for continuous operation at 1300 degrees Celsius.
- This type of furnace is constructed with low mass, light weight ceramic fiber insulation for maximum thermal performance.
- The furnace can be fitted with auxiliary taps, if needed, for changing the zone lengths.
- The furnace is enclosed with heavy gauge steel.
- A heavy duty translation drive is included within the enclosure of the furnace.
- Furnace is mounted on linear bearings for minimizing vibration.
- Using a stepper motor, gear reducer and a ball type lead screw allows the furnace to have a variable speed.
- Entire furnace is mounted on a tilting platform for tilting up to a 5 degree incline. Tilt is controlled by an electrically driven actuator.
- The furnace contains windows for viewing heater operations within the enclosure.
- Protective top enclosure is raised and lowered via electric actuator.
