Custom Designed
Furnaces
In addition to standard
designs, we can also supply equipment built to your specifications.
Thermcraft's engineers
can take your process requirements and suggest the most appropriate
type of furnace design.
Furnaces
can also be supplied with material load - unload manipulators or
various vibrating or auger type material feed equipment. Designs
are available in temperature ranges up to 1700°C (3092°F)
in air or higher with inert atmospheres.
The ovens
and furnaces pictured here are examples of Thermcraft's
capabilities in designing and building larger equipment for
a variety of manufacturing needs. There are many applications for
this equipment and each has been designed and tailored to meet the
needs our customers have dictated. From industrial applications
to scientific uses, each item is designed and built to customer
specifications.
Work crews
are available for on-site service work when needed. Systems are
available on a turn-key basis with installation and start-up by
Thermcraft's personnel when
requested. Furnace rebuilding is available either at our factory
or in the customer's plant.
Larger
Thermcraft ovens and furnaces
are available, built according to customer specification. The designing,
engineering, fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing and installation
can all be performed by Thermcraft's
qualified staff. From the customer concept to the final product,
Thermcraft
can assist in meeting each customer's particular need.
Rotary Tube Furnaces

This is a rotary tube calcining furnace
with cooling zone for operation to 1010°C (1850°F). The
tube is 13" ID with a 14"' long heated section. The rotary
tube can be quartz ceramic, or a high temperature alloy.

This is a large size, three zone tube furnace.
The heated chamber is 24" x 24" x 96 " long. It has
a 48 KW power requirement for temperatures up to 1204°C (2200°F).

This specially designed solid tube furnace
is mounted on a base to allow the furnace to be easily moved from
a horizontal to a vertical operation. The base contains temperature
controls to form a compact system. For 1300°C (2372°F)
operating temperatures. The usable heated chamber is 4" ID
x 36" long.
Front Loading Box
Furnaces

This front loading box furnace has automatic
coil load-unload equipment for operation at temperatures up to 1204°C
(2200°F).

This unit is similar, but also features quench tank with power
driven elevator for material retrieval. 130 KW. Usable heated chamber:
58" high x 48" wide x 96" deep.
Walking Beam Furnaces

This is a walking beam furnace system with
charge table, conveyor, load and unload manipulator handling equipment.
Each furnace rated 1080 KW and designed to operate at temperatures
up to 1370°C (2498°F). System complete with three zone
temperature control and programmable logic controller for automatic
operation. Heated chamber: 24" high x 240" wide x 120"
deep.
Mesh Belt Conveyor
Furnaces

Mesh Belt Conveyor Furnace - Heated chamber 15' long with 24"
wide belt. Complete with inspection/maintenance access ports, 72"'
long load/unload areas, variable speed belt drive, over-temperature
protection and chart recorder. Furnace is rated for maximum operating
temperatures of 1000°C (1850°F): 12" high x 24"
wide x 180" long.
Rotary Hearth Furnace

Rotary hearth furnace - two zone with 48" diameter hearth
and 12" high usable heated chamber. 1100°C (2012°F)
maximum operating temperature.
Bridgeman Crystal
Growing Furnace Systems

The Vertical Bridgeman Crystal Growing Furnace
system (shown) is completely self contained in this compact
arrangement. Furnace translation is controlled by geared stepper
motor for infinite speed control. Furnace Base supports the process
tube and allows for rotation of the tube.

The Horizontal Bridgeman Crystal Growing Furnace
System is designed with geared stepper motors for infinite control
of furnace movement. Furnace is multiple zone with quadrant control
in the spike zone. The top safety enclosure covers the complete
furnace assembly.
Car Bottom Furnace

A gas fired car bottom furnace has been
designed for the foundry industry. It uses a fuel efficient pre-heated
air combustion system and light weight ceramic fiber lining. The
system has two cars on a transfer mechanism. Heated chamber is 120"
high x 96" wide x 240" deep for temperatures up to 1204°C
(2200°F).

Another car bottom furnace has a heated chamber of 72"
wide x 72" high x 216" deep. Four hydraulically driven
cars make up the furnace bottom.

The furnace is rated for 1010°C (1850°F)
maximum operating temperature. Water cooled paddle wheel fans provide
maximum temperature uniformity.
Bottom Loading Elevator
Hearth Furnace

This Bottom Loading Elevator Hearth Furnace
has a usable heated chamber of 18" x 18" x 18". Temperatures
up to 1500°C (2732°F) can be achieved.
