Thermcraft Box Furnaces and Other Heat Treating Ovens
Thermcraft’s Box Furnaces are available in a wide variety of sizes and high temperature ranges. The box furnace has a rugged simplicity and conservative design which makes this type of industrial oven a very versatile and trouble-free heat treating furnace. These units are built with a heavy gage steel shell and low watt density heating elements along with lightweight ceramic fiber insulation making these furnaces / ovens suitable for any laboratory or industrial application.
Standard temperature ranges are 1010°C, 1260°C and 1538°C (1850°F, 2300°F and 2800°F). Special designs are available for operations to 1700°C (3092 °F). Options include pneumatically operated vertical life doors, welded and gas tight shell with ports for use with sealed atmosphere, heated doors, view ports and quench tanks. Dual Chamber Tool Room Box Furnace

The Dual Chamber Tool Room Box Furnace displayed here has high temperature capability of 1260°C (2300°F) in the upper chamber of the oven and 677°C (1250°F) in the lower chamber of the oven. Auto-tune controls and optional roll-out quench tank can be custom made for industrial applications along with labs of R & D departments. |

High Temperature Box Furnace

The High Temperature Box Furnace pictured here uses silicon carbide heating elements for operating temperatures up to 1538°C (2800°F). The air operated door and transformer tap switches allow for ease of operation and access to the oven chamber. This type of box furnace is ideal for industrial use. |
Hardening Furnace

The Hardening Furnace shown here has a separate drawing furnace that is combined in one unit. The furnace comes with control systems for each furnace oven chamber, which adds to the efficiency of the hardening furnace. Quench tank storage can be seen at the bottom of the unit. High temperatures of up to 1232°C (2250°F) and 649°C (1200°F) in the two chambers can be reached with this (box) hardening furnace. |
Heat Treating Furnace

This Controlled Atmosphere Heat Treating Furnace has 760°C - 1370°C (1400°F - 2500°F) capability. This box furnace/oven boasts an automatic flame curtain and can handle endothermic, exothermic and enriched atmospheres as well as nitrogen, argon or air. |
Muffle Type Box Furnace

This Muffle Type Box Furnace has a muffle designed for sealed atmosphere operation at high temperatures that reach up to 1100°C (2012°F). It is mounted on a cart to allow easy conversion to a standard box furnace. |
